Torrance County Sheriff Junior Deputy Program Begins August 1

Torrance County Sheriff Heath White is offering a Junior Deputy program to youth in Torrance County.  The Junior Deputy program begins August 1, 2011 and runs for one week.  An application form for the program is available and Sheriff Whites new web site  SheriffHeathWhite.us


The program is a week long boot camp for Junior Deputies which includes physical training in the mornings followed by scheduled activities such as crime scene identification, mountain survivial training, first aide, drug education and lots more.  Parents are responsible for supplying a daily sack lunch, running gear (shoes/sweats/t-shirt) and transportation. 

The camp starts each day at 8:00am and ends at 16:30pm (which is 4:30pm for those of you who don't do military time).  Parents are welcome to participate or just attend the academy.  Sign up forms are available at the Sheriff's web site http://www.sheriffheathwhite.us/Junior_Deputy_Program.html
