The Estancia Basin Water Planning Committee (EBWPC) is requesting your help to forecast future water availability in the Estancia Valley.

The EBWPC needs access to irrigation wells for the purpose of monitoring water table levels in different areas of the Estancia Valley.

The EBWPC will not be monitoring the amount of water being pumped, on the water level changes associated to irrigation and recharging from rain and snow.

The EBWPC is currently monitoring approximately 60 wells; however, we need additional wells to monitor in the southeast and northeast parts of the Estancia Valley.

The monitoring is done by a Qualified Professional company.  There is no cost and the data will be made available to you.

Edgewood Open Space Public Input Meeting

 Santa Fe, NM- June 8, 2011 - Santa Fe County will be hosting a public meeting on Wednesday, June 15 at 5 p.m. at the Edgewood Fire Station, 25 E Frontage Road to present the preliminary design for the 30 acres of County Open Space in Edgewood. The 30 acres of County open space is located adjacent to the Wildlife West along the I-40 frontage road.

Santa Fe County purchased this property in September 2000 as part of the open space and trails inventory. After reviewing a draft conceptual plan from the Town of Edgewood, the Open Space and Trails program has contracted Surroundings Studio to complete a design for an equestrian rest stop, trail head parking and picnic area.

Residents are encouraged to attend the meeting, see what is planned for the Edgewood Open Space, and provide feedback.
