James W. Vestal passed away at his home on July 9, 2010. James was raised on his families homestead in the Ewing area of the Estancia Valley. He proudly served his country and was in the D-Day Invasion at Normandy, and served in France during the war with Germany. He was preceded in death by his wife Betty and sister Lou Ann Hewett. Survivors include his son, LeRoy (Roy) Vestal and wife Cynde, grandchildren Sashi McDowell and David Vestal, and a great granddaughter, Caelinn Quinn McDowell.
Viewing will be help for James Vestal on Monday, July 19, 2010 at the Daniels funeral home located on Carlisle Blvd. from 2pm - 4pm. James will be laid to rest at the National Cemetery in Santa Fe, NM at 10am on July 20, 2010.
