Stella Valdivia's agent, Larry Domingez, appeared before the Torrance County Planning and Zoning board seeking approval of a family transfer exemption. The request was to authorize a land division among family members. The board voiced concerns over access to the properties if divided including travel through a neighboring property without an easement agreement as well as incomplete paperwork not submitted for inclusion into the meeting packets. Discussion regarding the easement suggested that the Valdivia family seek a written access agreement through the easement from the neighboring property as well as possibly adding an easement within the Valdivia property itself in order to avoid any land locked parcel. The board may hear this request at its' next meeting in March.
