What, Family Dollar in Moutainair for sale? Didn't they just open? I was ask to dispel rumors and supposition surrounding the sale of the Mountainair location. Developers will buy raw land or improved locations to create a leased space for retail or other types of business. Some developers will keep the improved property collecting rents from the tenant, or, they will complete the improvements/upgrades to the property, secure a tenant lease, and then sell either the lease or the property with the lease in place to another party.
The Family Dollar listing in Mountainair is an offering to sell the improved/upgraded property with a lease in place to another party - nothing more. What an opportunity for a local party to own a new building with a great tenant, or for a group of families to consider buying the location to really keep things local.
