Americans want deficit cut even in tough economy Reuters

"A majority of Americans prefer cutting the deficit to increasing government spending as a way to improve the tough economy and believe a more balanced budget would help create jobs, a Reuters Ipsos poll showed on Tuesday."

The article goes on to say that deficit matters will be addressed after the elections - why has this not been addressed during the last two years and why should it continue to be on hold until after the elections in November.

The current party leadership and those who have controlled this country for the past 2 years said they had the plan - said they were going to fix all of the ills of the USA - why hasn't that happened yet? They have been in complete control so what are they waiting for? I suggest the current situation could be compared to Nero fiddling while Rome burned.

Those on the hill need to get to work instead of playing stupid political games - while they are eating well buttered bread, those of us in the trenches are fighting over crumbs.
